Zaamin Group, Khudi Wellness Celebrate International Day of Older Persons with Shelterless Mothers at Aaghosh Home

KARACHI: Renowned philanthropists and social workers Kashif Shah and his spouse Sarwat Nasim Shah, Chairman and Managing Director, respectively, of Zaamin Group and founders of Khudi Wellness, celebrated the International Day of Older Persons at Aaghosh Home Trust on Thursday, spending meaningful time with elderly shelterless mothers and orphan girls with physical and intellectual disabilities residing at the Home.
During their visit, Kashif Shah and Sarwat Nasim Shah interacted warmly with the elderly residents and took a keen interest in listening to their life stories, experiences and challenges.
Kashif Shah was particularly moved by his conversations with several educated elderly women, including those from professional and medical backgrounds, who shared their personal journeys and the circumstances that had brought them to Aaghosh Home.
Addressing the mothers and sisters residing at the Home, Kashif Shah encouraged them to remain positive and active and to utilize their knowledge, experience and free time for the wellbeing of future generations.
He said senior citizens possess a wealth of knowledge, wisdom and life experience and can continue to play a valuable and constructive role in society by sharing their education, skills and experiences with younger generations.
Sarwat Nasim Shah appreciated the humanitarian services being provided by Aaghosh Trust and pledged her continued support for the welfare and wellbeing of its residents.
The visiting couple also appreciated Aaghosh Trust President Shagufta Saba, along with the Trustees and management, for their dedicated services in providing shelter, care, protection and dignity to elderly women who have nowhere else to turn.
On the occasion, Kashif Shah and Sarwat Nasim Shah presented a donation cheque to Aaghosh Trust as a contribution towards the welfare and care of the elderly mothers residing at the Home.
They assured the residents and management of their continued association and support, expressing their desire to visit Aaghosh Home again and remain closely connected with the Aaghosh family.
The visit, held to mark the International Day of Older Persons, highlighted the importance of respecting and caring for senior citizens, listening to their experiences and ensuring that elderly people-particularly those without family support or shelter-are able to spend the later years of their lives with care, respect and dignity.
