KARACHI: The recent India-Pakistan military confrontation has reshaped domestic political dynamics on both sides of the border.
Pakistan responded to Indian aggression, shot down six top fighter jets of the Indian air force in aerial battles including three highly advanced French-made Rafales, destroyed many installations of the Indian military, destroyed several Indian air bases and launched a massive cyber attack as well. Pakistan has surprised the entire Indian establishment by demonstrating the most advanced battle tactics in this crisis situation with India. This dangerous situation remained for nearly four days between the two nuclear nations, until when US President Donald Trump announced a surprise ceasefire that has largely held.
During the tense days, Pakistani minorities prayed fervently for the victory of the Pakistani armed forces and expressed heartfelt emotions for them.
Bishop Sadiq Daniel presented a comparative analysis from the 1965 and 1971 wars to the 2025 war. He says that “I have seen the blackout, siren, curfew & fear situations during the 1965 and 1971 wars with my own eyes. Due to lack of technology and resources, I have seen our soldiers strapping bombs, lying down in front of Indian tanks and achieving martyrdom to stop the enemy’s advancement. I remember during the 1965 war, the government said that if every person in the nation saves one paisa every day, we could soon buy a tank.”
