SHARJAH (UAE): Pakistan Social Center Sharjah hosted a prestigious global Mushaira “Hum Naghma Sara Kuch Ghazlon Ke,” organized by Tarqeem.
The event was a notable success, featuring distinguished literary figures and well-regarded international poets.
The Mushaira was presided over by the esteemed Akhtar Usman, whose presence added dignity to the occasion. The participation of Dr. Sabahat Asim Wasti further elevated the event’s prestige.
The event commenced with Saima Naqvi declaring the start of the evening, followed by Dr. Noor Al-Sabah’s talk on her café “Chai Shai” and Tarqeem’ s journey. Adnan Munawar, the founder of Tarqeem, provided insights into the organization’s mission while Ehtesham Abbasi presented a special letter of thanks to Akhtar Usman.
Muskan Syed Riaz expertly moderated the event, ensuring a seamless flow of quality poetry. Renowned poets including Dilawar Ali Azhar, Syed Sarosh Asif, Naveen Joshi, and Ehya Bhojpuri captivated the audience with their unique styles. Usman Habib’s melodious poetry, along with contributions from Ali Zeerak, Abrar Umar, Ahmed Jahangir, and Nilufar Afzal, maintained high standards throughout the evening.
The young poet Ashwini Mittal brought new perspectives to poetry with his innovative verses while Malik Irfan’s exceptional poetry left the audience with a feeling of contentment.
Awards were presented to various UAE’s organizations, including Cultural Caravan, Bazm-e Urdu Dubai, Andaaz-e-Bayan Aur, Al-Tahbib Festival, Kasooti Jadeed, Applause Adab, Vertex Events, and Jashan-e-Urdu, in recognition of their contributions to the UAE’s literary community.
The Organizers expressed deep gratitude to media partners and sponsors for their invaluable support, which ensured the event’s success.
