ISLAMABAD: Gold prices increased by Rs2,500 to reach Rs96,400 per tola in local markets on Thursday.
Likewise, the rate of 10 grams of the precious metal rose by Rs2,142 to Rs82,647.
Meanwhile, Gold in international market rose to a one-week high on the expectation of more stimulus from major central banks to limit the economic damage from the coronavirus pandemic, with most countries extending lockdowns to curtail its spread.
Spot gold was being sold at $1,736.70 with an increase of $22.4 per ounce at 1545 GMT. – TLTP
