In response to the flooding in Pakistan, the Consul General of Indonesia in Karachi, Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat, along with his wife Ani June Kuncoro Hadiningrat and staff from the Consulate, visited relief camps in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, District Malir, on Monday.
Assistant Commissioner of Bin Qasim Interchange Yanshad Ali, who runs the camp, was happy to see them and told them to check on the conditions in the camp, where about 100 families who lost their homes in the floods are staying. Most of them come from places in the middle of Sindh like Larkana and others.
During the visit, Consul General Dr. June Kuncoro brought care packages from the Consulate and Indonesian communities in Karachi to the people of Pakistan as a sign of sympathy and acceptance. Yanshad Ali told the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi, Pakistan, that he was very thankful for what Karachi had done.
Indonesia and Pakistan are both Muslim countries and are very close to each other. Since they got their independence, they have helped each other out, and they will always try to make things better between their people.
