Khana-e-Farhang hosts a grand memorial event for Nasrallah

Special Report

KARACHI: A grand memorial ceremony in the memory of martyr Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, martyr Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and other oppressed martyrs of Palestine and Lebanon held at Khana-e-Farhang, Islamic Republic of Iran Karachi, Monday.
Consul General of Iran Hasan Noorian, Director of Khana-e-Farhang Iran Karachi Saeid Talebinia, Senior Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Dr. Meraj Al Huda Siddiqui, Ayatollah Ghulam Abbas Raisi, Ayatullah Hasan Salahuddin, Allama Shahanshah Naqvi, Deputy Secretary General of Shia Ulema Council Nazer Abbas Taqvi, Maulana Asghar Dars and other prominent Sunni and Shia scholars and social and academic personalities participated in this gathering.

The speakers paid tribute to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and the Palestinian and Lebanese martyrs and said that the martyrdom of these martyrs has further strengthened the Islamic resistance front against Israel. Praising the prudent leadership of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, they said that after the martyrdom of Syed Abbas Mousavi in 1992, he took over the leadership of Hezbollah at the age of 30 and in a very short period of time, he turned it into the most effective global resistance movement by using his unique skills.

Dr. Meraj Al Huda Siddiqui said that Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is not the name of a personality but the name of a thought and a movement whose challenge used to shake the global imperialism. He said: If Israel thinks that by martyring Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, it will end the resistance front against Zionism, then it is a mistake, the blood of a martyr is never wasted, but gives new life to the nation. We believe that these sacrifices bring the tyrannical Israeli regime closer to its destruction. He said: Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is not only the hero of Lebanon or only the Muslims, but the hero of the whole humanity, because he has sacrificed his precious life in support of the defenseless oppressed people in the land of Palestine.

Nazer Abbas Taqvi said that in order to advance the mission of the martyrs of Al-Quds, our responsibility at this time is to try to establish unity in the ranks of Muslims. Because when the enemy sees his failure, he tries to create a division in the ranks of his opponent. This is the enemy’s tested tactic which has been tried many times. Creating discord between nations to pave the way for government is an old tried formula of global imperialism. In the current situation, we need to show unity at all levels to defeat the tyrant Zionist regime and for the liberation of Palestine and the first Qibla.

A brief look at Hezbollah: Hezbollah or the Islamic Resistance movement of Lebanon is a cultural, social, political and military Shia group of twelve Imams in Lebanon, which was established in 1982 AD in order to confront the usurping Israeli regime. This group is part of a coalition known as the “Axis of Resistance” and with the support and leadership of Iran, it tries to prevent the influence of Israel and America in the Middle East. Hamas in Gaza, Shia militia groups in Iraq and Houthis in Yemen are among the other groups of this coalition.

This party started the activity against Israel with martyrdom operations. Then it increased its military power and started confronting Israel with Katyusha rockets and guerilla wars. The Islamic movement of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movement in Gaza, the Shia militia groups in Iraq and the Houthis in Yemen are among the other groups of this coalition.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah is known as the “most powerful non-governmental military force” in the world and enjoys a special love among the Lebanese people, including Shiites, Sunnis and Christians. This group has gradually opened its foothold in the political system of Lebanon and with its political branch “Loyalty to the Resistance Faction” has become one of the decisive political parties in Lebanon, which in practice has the power to veto cabinet decisions.

To-date there have been several military conflicts between Hezbollah and Israel, including the full-scale war of this group with the well-equipped Israeli army in 2000 AD and the expulsion of the Zionists from Lebanon. In fact, the Hezbollah movement was able to defeat the Israeli army and expel it from the territory of its country for the first time in the history of the formation of the usurping Zionist government.

The 33-day war in 2006 is the second major confrontation between Hezbollah and the Zionist regime, which the Israelis know as the second Lebanon-Hezbollah war, labeled as the 33-day war between Tammuz and the Iranians. Israel started this war with the aim of disarming Hezbollah and freeing its two soldiers who were captured by Hezbollah.

After the Al-Aqsa operation on October 7, 2023, due to Hezbollah’s support for Hamas and the people of the Gaza Strip, the clashes between the Israeli army and the Lebanese Hezbollah forces intensified. Israel also brutally assassinated and martyred a large number of civilian people of the Shiite area of Beirut, as well as a group of Hezbollah members and commanders, including its popular leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Before Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Martyr Seyed Abbas Mousavi was the general secretary of this party, who was martyred by the Zionist regime on February 16, 1992, along with his wife and child.
