SSGC organizes Mehfil-e-Milaad of Nabi (SAAW)

Living up to its long tradition, SSGC organized Mehfil Milaad-un-Nabi (SAAW), an indispensable feature of the blessed month of Rabi ul Awal that marks the birth of Almighty Allah’s final Messenger Prophet Muhammad (SAAW).
A large number of SSGC employees attended this Mehfil that was organised at the Company’s Head Office auditorium, during the week. The event was organized by the Company’s Corporate Communication Department with requisite support from few Company departments.
Reputed Islamic scholar Allama Hakeem Mohammad Akbar Dars was the distinguished speaker at the event. In his thought-provoking talk, the learned scholar reiterated that there are so many precious and beautiful aspects of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAAW) that one can easily benefit from for this life and hereafter.
Allama Dars underscored the point that Prophet Muhammad (SAAW) is the ultimate epitome of perfection chosen for us by Allah (SWT) and it is incumbent on each one of us to follow his teachings of righteousness and virtue.
Salman A. Siddiqui, Head of Corporate Communications, thanked Allama Dars for eloquently presenting before the audience many facets of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAAW). He also thanked the Sanaa Khwaans for their soulful Naat renditions. Siddiqui also thanked the guests and the audience for their presence in large numbers. At the conclusion of the Mehfil he presented bouquets and give-aways to the guests.

CM Baqar shows positive, bright face of Pakistan thru ‘Pakistan Theatre Festival’

Thirty-day Pakistan Theater Festival organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi came to a grand end. In the closing ceremony Chief Minister Sindh Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar participated as a special guest in the closing ceremony.
President of Arts Council Mohammad Ahmad Shah, Consul General of Oman, Consul General of Turkey, Vice President Munawar Saeed, Secretary Arts Council Ijaz Farooqui, Dr. Huma Mir, members of governing body, directors and actors of theatres participated. The directors of the theatre groups involved in the “Pakistan Theatre Festival” were honoured with Awards.
Chief Minister Sindh Justice (Retd) Muqoob Baqar while addressing the closing ceremony said, “I congratulate you for organizing such a wonderful Pakistan Theatre Festival, which It is taking such steps to promote the arts, 7 groups from foreign countries performed here in the festival which is commendable, I hope that the artists from foreign countries will have seen a positive and bright face of Pakistan.
“In the current situation of the country, it is welcome to organize such a festival, I appeal to the people to come forward and work for the promotion of arts, it is very important to have such initiatives for positive change, he said that the Arts Council will continue to take such steps for the city of Karachi, he further said that I value all the people here who bring forward a positive thoughts.

Azaan Sami Khan releases #AZAANTheAlbum trailer, set to launch on October 30

 

Azaan Sami Khan has released the official trailer for his upcoming album titled AZAAN, during the week. The 47-second trailer offers a glimpse into what fans can expect from the album as a whole, mainly a grand visual treat of what this self-titled sophomore attempt is all about.
Following the release of the album cover and tracklist on October 1, the trailer showcases the singer in various avatars and provides a quick montage of what the album has to offer. Brief glimpses of actresses Sanam Saeed, Syra Yousuf, and Aena Khan are also featured in the trailer, keeping up the tradition of Khan’s previous celebrity collaborations.
The trailer unfolds with Khan gazing into multiple mirrors, each transition revealing a striking transformation. Among the notable avatars, Khan adopts a gangster-inspired persona, accentuated by a dramatic car explosion as a backdrop, as well as a several other vastly different looks that hint at a bad-boy avatar, an old-school romantic hero, a backpacker on a journey, to name a few.
The notable cameos in the trailer show Aena presenting a girl-next-door appearance, Sanam exuding a rather regal elegance reminiscent of the vintage times, and Syra capturing a timeless moment aboard a carriage and longingly looking back, all leaving the viewers with a taste of wanting more. The trailer ends with a shot of the mirror shattering, followed by the vocals of one of Khan’s upcoming tracks, Man Marzi, concluding with a cinematic feel to match distinguished film trailers.
All in all, the brief fast-paced clip encapsulates a cinematic world of Khan’s new album with distinct eras to depict a whole journey. The clip fulfils its part in hinting at the diversity of the album’s visual content and an immersive musical experience for the audience with the eight new tracks revealed in the tracklist, namely, Maa, Nadaan Dil, Beby, Aap Hi Rehte Hain Dil Main, Husn-e-Jaan, Ham Dam, Man Marzi, and Rang De.
The direction and production of the album’s trailer are carried out by Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza of FilmWala Pictures, known for their expertise in visual storytelling in films like Quaid-i-Azam Zindabad, Load Wedding, Actor in Law, etc.
The album is all set to release under the banner of Azel Records on October 30, 2023 and will be available on all streaming platforms.
