SUKKUR: NAB (Sukkur) Team arrested proclaimed offenders (POs) Tarique Aziz S/o Muhammad Afzal Pathan, Govt. Contractor and Ali Hassan S/o Gullo Shaikh, says a Press release.
Accused Tariq Aziz was arrested Monday, was involved in Ref: No. 12/2018 – State Vs Abdul Khalique Panhyar Ex-Executive Engineer, Highways Division, Kashmore & Others.
He was involved in misappropriation of government funds which were not properly utilized in roads department at District Kashmore. Accused was produced before Accountability Court (Sukkur) Monday and the Court remanded him to judicial custody.
Another accused Ali Hassan S/o Gullo Shaikh was also arrested Monday. He was involved in FIRs No. 03/2018, 05/2018, 06/2018, 10/2018 and 11/2018 which were transferred from District & Session Court Ghotki to Accountability Court Sukkur.
Reference No. 03/2018 – State Vs Amanat Ali Golo & others is under trial at Accountability Court Sukkur. He, in collaboration with the main accused Amanat Ali Golo cheated public at large in the context of doubling the amount. Accused will be produced before Accountability Court (Sukkur) today (Tuesday) for judicial remand.
Meanwhile, in compliance of directives of worthy Chairman NAB, Justice Javed Iqbal, Director General NAB (Sk) Fayyaz Ahmed Qureshi will hold Khuli Kachehri for hearing of corruption related complaints on 28th June 2018 (Thursday). General public is informed that complaints and information alongwith evidence concerning corruption and corrupt practices may be produced before DG NAB (Sk) at NAB Sukkur Office. Complaints falling within the ambit of National Accountability Ordinance (NAO), 1999 will be processed and dealt with in accordance with NAO, 1999. Whereas, complaints related to solitary or individual nature will be referred to departments concerned for immediate action.
In order to curb the menace of corruption and redressal of complaints with the cooperation of general public, Justice Javed Iqbal, Chairman NAB has decided to hear public complaints and in this regard all of the Regional Heads of NAB have also been directed for holding Khuli Kachehri. In compliance whereof, DG NAB (Sk) will hold Khuli Kachehri for hearing of complaints on 28th June 2018 from 1400 to 1600 hours.
This is to inform that offences falling within the ambit of NAO such as loss caused to government exchequer by any individual or department, gains obtained by misuse of authority, public cheating at large and willful loan default or public representative / servants leading their lives or they have accumulated assets beyond known source of income, all of the complaints of like nature will be dealt with on priority.
In order to eradicate corruption with the cooperation of general public, DG NAB (Sk) Fayyaz Ahmed Qureshi has stated that stern impartial action will be taken on all of the complaints.
It is further informed that Khuli Kachehri will be held on the last Thursday of every month, regularly.
