On social media, the PTI leadership, leaders and analysts based abroad are making unverified, defamatory and provocative remarks, which are in no way acceptable to the Pakistan Army. The army initially showed patience and tolerance, but from the press conference of DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held recently, it shows that the patience of the Pakistan Army are running out. Although he has held numerous press conferences in the past, the press conference held last Friday was an unusual press conference in which the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, without naming names, severely criticized the founder PTI for creating and spreading an anti-army narrative.
This unusual reaction of the Pakistan Army came at a time when anti-army propaganda has increased in recent days, Imran Khan called the PTI members of the assembly who participated in the National Defense University workshop as “Mir Jafar” and “Mir Sadiq”. The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army said that the anti-army narrative has now gone beyond the realm of politics and has become a threat to national security and the hate speech that a person is making against the Pakistani army reflects a mentally ill person. According to him, the soldiers of the army are taking bullets on their chests to protect their homeland and are making sacrifices, but our sacrifices are being rewarded by the fact that the Pakistan Army and its commander are being ridiculed on social media and a narrative is being made against the security of the country. But now it is time to end this negative narrative. Those who target the leadership of the armed forces are not the well-wishers of the nation, we will never allow a rift between the Pakistani army and the people.
After the recent 27th constitutional amendment, negative propaganda against the army and the military leader has intensified. Imran Khan and his supporters are trying to create a rift in the Pakistan Army and the founder of PTI has crossed the red line by using harsh words about the Pakistan Army Chief, which shows Imran Khan’s frustration. Imran Khan’s narrative is aligning with the enemy’s agenda, which is causing joy in India and the Indian media is exaggerating his anti-army statements. Indian agencies are taking advantage of this situation and analyst, like Major Gore Arya, who is actually an agent of “RAW”, has supported Imran Khan’s anti-army statements saying that India should be grateful to Imran Khan that he is inciting the Pakistani nation against the army and thus doing for free what Indian intelligence agencies cannot do even after spending millions of dollars. In another similar analysis, Major Gore Arya said that Pakistan’s army is not an army but a glue that has held the people of Pakistan together. If Imran Khan’s anti-army propaganda weakens the army, then the Pakistani nation will also be scattered and then no one can stop Pakistan from being divided. Founder of PTI Imran Khan, by targeting the Pak Army and negative propaganda against the Army leadership, was thinking that he would create a rift between the people and the Pak Army, but this wish and dream of his could not be fulfilled.
