Operation in KP Not to Be Allowed: Gandapur

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) firmly opposed the initiation of any operation in the province, directing the police to take strict action against armed groups. Speaking at a rally, Gandapur emphasized the provincial apex committee’s approval of the Bannu Amn Committee’s demands, asserting that the committee’s discussions were thorough and that KP would make its own decisions without external imposition.

“I had said earlier that you should reform yourself or be ready for punishment. I am again warning that no armed group is acceptable. I instruct the police to take action against armed groups,” Gandapur stated.

The chief minister expressed gratitude to the local population and elders for their cooperation following a recent firing incident at a protest rally. He acknowledged their crucial role in preventing the situation from escalating. Gandapur highlighted the sacrifices made by Pakhtuns for Pakistan’s creation and Kashmir’s freedom, noting the historical and ongoing contributions of the Pakhtun community to the nation.

Reflecting on past operations against KP in alignment with American policies, Gandapur declared, “We will not allow any operation in the province.” He also expressed concerns about the displacement and mistreatment of Pakhtuns in other provinces, as well as the misuse of funds intended for their welfare.

Addressing the needs of madrassa students, Gandapur announced budget allocations for their education and solarization of madrassas, stressing that these students deserve equal employment opportunities. He urged the public to report corruption, bribery, and drug-related issues, promising government action against these problems.

Gandapur commended the sacrifices made by security forces and police in restoring peace and maintaining order. He concluded by mentioning the widespread announcements made in mosques and bazaars about the apex committee’s decision to meet the protesters’ demands for peace, and appreciated the large turnout at the rally in support of the government’s efforts.
