Pak-China all weather friendship time tested

ISLAMABAD: Renowned social activist and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Syed Zeeshan Haider has said that Pakistan and China are time-tested all-weather friends and cooperation between the two countries is vital for the socioeconomic development in the region.
Speaking at a reception held here at a local hotel on the occasion of 92nd anniversary of founding of the Peoples’ Liberation Army (PLA), he said that exemplary friendship between Pakistan and China is based on the strong foundation of mutual trust, respect, strong strategic partnership and economically viable cooperation.
Haider while paying rich tributes to the PLA said that its productive and leading role in promoting peace, stability and development world-wide is appreciable.
The PTI leader said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will prove to be a gateway for the development and prosperity of the region. He said that Pakistan wanted early completion of CPEC project.
Earlier, International Youth Activist and PTI leader Syed Zeeshan Haider participated in a function in connection with 92nd anniversary of founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing and Major General Chen Wenrong, the Defence Attache had given a special invitation to Haider.
Haider met with Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee General Zubair Mehmood Hayyat, Federal Minister for Railway Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and other high ranking civil and military officials and leaders from both Pakistan and China.
The reception was hosted by Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing. It was largely attended by the high-ranking officers of the Pakistan Army, Air Force and Navy as well as representatives of the civil city. Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was also present on the occasion.
