Pak team participates Thailand footvolley championship

KARACHI: The Thailand Footvolley Championship was held in Bangkok from 18 September 2019 to 22 September 2019. Pakistan team was headed by Manager Sadaqat Hussain that participated in the event. Total 12 countries participated in this grand event
Footvolley was created by Octavio de Moraes in 1965 in Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach. Footvolley started in Rio de Janeiro. Since football was banned on the beach, but volleyball courts were open. Therefore as an alternative to football this game was replaced. All over the world female athletes are playing footvolley being equally popular game. Since the sport’s inception in Brazil, footvolley has spread and gained popularity internationally, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, and Oceania.
At the conclusion of tournament teams were awarded souvenir, Pakistan team manager Sadaqat Hussain received his souvenir from Indian Sports Minister in Thailand.
