The day before, Pakistan faced a tough loss in the semi-final against China, which ended in a dramatic penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regular time. China scored first in the second quarter, but Pakistan’s Ahmed Nadeem equalized in the third quarter, sending the match to penalties. China ultimately advanced to the final after winning the shootout, marking their first time reaching the final.

China will now face India at 3 pm for the tournament’s final. India had previously secured their place in the final by defeating South Korea 4-1 in the second semi-final on September 16.

If India wins today, they will secure their fifth Asian Champions Trophy title.
