KARACHI: Pakistan on Sunday issued a strong condemnation of the latest Israeli strikes across Gaza, which have reportedly killed several Palestinian civilians, including women and children, and left many more injured. Terming the attacks a “flagrant violation” of international law and UN resolutions, Pakistan urged the international community to take urgent action to end Israeli impunity.
In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson said the attacks also violated the recently concluded peace agreement reached at Sharm el-Sheikh and undermined global efforts aimed at achieving sustainable peace in the region.
“These actions constitute a blatant violation of international law, relevant UN resolutions, and the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement,” the spokesperson said. “The international community must take immediate steps to halt Israel’s repeated ceasefire violations and uphold international humanitarian and human rights law.”
Pakistan reiterated its longstanding principled stance in support of the Palestinian people, stressing the need for an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on pre-June 1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
The Foreign Office reminded the world that despite repeated calls for restraint, Israel continues to carry out indiscriminate military operations that disproportionately harm civilians living under occupation.
“These attacks once again expose the urgent need for international accountability. Silence and inaction only embolden violations,” the statement added.
The government emphasized that the loss of innocent lives in Gaza is a stark reminder of the humanitarian crisis faced by Palestinians and called for coordinated global pressure to protect civilians and prevent further escalation.
Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to working with the international community to ensure that international law is respected and that Palestinians are able to live in peace, dignity, and freedom.
