JOHOR BAHRU (Malaysia): Pakistan has three Gold Medals, one Silver Medal and one Bronze Medal in the Students Olympic International Games 2019-2020 played here at Larkin Sports Complex Johor Bahru Malaysia inaugurated here on December 27 and concluded here Monday, says a message received here Sunday.
Pakistan’s three Gold Medals are in Under-17 Boys Futsal, in Under-17 Boys Handball, and in Under-16 Single Table Tennis. Pakistan secured Silver Medal in Under-17 Doubles Table Tennis while earned Bronze Medal in Under-15 Doubles Table Tennis.
Students Olympic International Games 2019-2020 were played here at Larkin Sports Complex Johor Bahru Malaysia were inaugurated Friday.
As many as six countries i.e. Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia participated in these games that are organized by Malaysia Students Olympic Association & Students Olympic Council of Asia and Ministry of Sports JB Malaysia.
According to details, India won the 1st General Trophy (1600) of 2nd Students Olympic Asian Games 2019.
Pakistan won the 2nd General Trophy (1550) of 2nd Students Olympic Asian Games 2019.
The Games played in the Under-16, Under-17, and Under-19 categories were: Futsal, Throwball, Handball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Yoga, and Kabaddi.
In Futsal Boys Under-17 Final, Pakistan beat Malaysia, 4-2 Goals and Pakistan won the Gold Medal.
In Throwball Boys Under-17 Final, Sri Lanka beat Pakistan, 2-1 Sets. Sri Lanka won the Gold Medal while Pakistan won the Silver Medal.
In Handball Boys Under-17 Final, Pakistan beat India, 12-7 Goals and Pakistan won the Gold Medal.
In Table Tennis Under-16 Single Pakistan won the Gold Medal, won Silver Medal in Under-17 Doubles, and the Bronze Medal in Under-15 Doubles.
Dr. Rama Crishnan Minister Johor Bahru Malaysia was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony and distributed Trophies and Medals to Winners and Runner-up teams.
Dr Pardeep Secretary Students Olympic Council of Asia announced holding of the 3rd Students Olympic Games 2020 at Baku, Azerbaijan.
