PAMA elects new office-bearers for 2026-28 term

KARACHI: The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has elected Hiroshi Kawamura as chairman for the 2026-28 term, with Nadeem Malik and Sana Ullah Chaudhry elected senior vice chairman and vice chairman, respectively.
The elections were conducted in accordance with the applicable Trade Organizations (DGTO) Rules, with representatives of PAMA member companies participating in the electoral process, according to a statement issued by the association on Monday.
Mr Kawamura will head the association for the new two-year term, while Mr Malik and Mr Chaudhry will serve as senior vice chairman and vice chairman, respectively.
The newly elected office-bearers represent major segments of Pakistan’s automotive manufacturing industry. These include manufacturers associated with cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs), farm tractors, as well as two- and three-wheelers.
The election comes as PAMA continues to represent the collective interests of companies operating across different segments of the country’s automotive manufacturing sector.
The association said the new leadership would assume its responsibilities for the 2026-28 term and work towards further strengthening Pakistan’s automotive manufacturing industry.
PAMA said its office-bearers would represent the collective interests of member companies and contribute to the continued development, growth and competitiveness of the automotive sector.
The association also expressed confidence in the newly elected leadership and congratulated the office-bearers on their election.
The new leadership is expected to provide representation to the diverse segments of the automotive manufacturing industry covered by PAMA, ranging from passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles to heavy commercial vehicles, tractors and two- and three-wheelers.
The election process was completed following participation by representatives of PAMA member companies and in line with the relevant regulatory framework governing trade organisations.
The association’s Director General, Razi-ur-Rahman, issued the announcement regarding the election of the new office-bearers.
The new office-bearers will serve for the 2026-28 term and will be responsible for representing PAMA and its member companies during the period.
