TANDOJAM: Sindh’s renowned and senior Noha Khwan (elegy reciter) and the holder of Bayaz (traditional elegy book) Mir Imdad Ali Piral Talpur, strongly condemned the attempt by Ghulam Rasool Qureshi and others to halt the official construction work initiated by the Sindh Department of Auqaf at the holy shrine of the Masooma-e-Sindh, Bibi Maham (S.A.) at Agham Kot, following the decision issued by the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad Circuit Bench.
He denounced the act of organizing a protest by a religious group at the sacred shrine of Bibi Pak, using inflammatory slogans and issuing open threats in an apparent attempt to create sectarian tension in the area.
He drew the attention of the Sindh Government to the fact that these same individuals had attacked and vandalized the revered shrine on Eidul Fitr as well, for which an FIR has been registered at the Gulab Laghari Police Station.
He demanded from the Government of Sindh, the district administration of Badin, and all security agencies immediately take notice of these sectarian-provocative acts and initiate legal action against such miscreants who are enemies of peace.
