PSL 3 Dubai (February 27, 2018) : Shahid Afridi’s three wickets for 19 runs gave a 27-run victory to the Karachi Kings against Lahore Qalandars in the highly-charged match held at the Dubai International Stadium.
Courtesy late-hitting by Ravi Bopara, Karachi Kings scored a fighting total of 160 runs against Lahore Qalandars, while Qalandars lost its momentum after the dismissal of its skipper Brendon McCullum.Karachi Kings outclassed Lahore Qalandars in the eight fixture of Pakistan Super League, PSL beating them by 27 runs as Qalandars’ batting order collapsed once again, this time chasing the 160-run target set by Kings.
Batting first, Karachi Kings managed to score 159 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, Qalandars started off well and scored 68 for the loss of Narine in their powerplay overs. However, soon after the powerplay they crumbled and kept losing wickets in quick succession.
This was the third consecutive loss for Qalandars, while the third consecutive triumph for Karachi Kings.
Sunil Narine was the first to be dismissed by the Kings as he departed after giving an outside edge to the wicket-keeper Muhammad Rizwan.
