TOKYO: The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) is set to host a Special Session of the Future Mobility Forum on Thursday, October 30, 2025, as part of the Japan Mobility Show 2025 at Tokyo Big Sight. Running from October 30 to November 9, this year’s event carries the theme “The Future is Something We Create Together,” bringing the world’s top automotive leaders on one stage to share their passion for mobility and visions for a sustainable future.
Among the key speakers, special attention will be on Toshihiro Suzuki, Vice Chairman of JAMA and President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, who will highlight the company’s iconic 1st-Generation Alto “MameTan.” The beloved car, a symbol of Suzuki’s innovative legacy, reflects the brand’s commitment to mobility that is both accessible and forward-looking. Toshihiro Suzuki’s personal reflections on the Alto – a car that helped define a generation of compact mobility – are expected to be a major highlight of the session, underscoring Suzuki’s enduring role in shaping everyday transportation.
The event will also feature other leading industry figures, including Masanori Katayama (Chairman, JAMA / CEO, Isuzu Motors Limited), Koji Sato (President, Toyota Motor Corporation), Ivan Espinosa (CEO, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.), Toshihiro Mibe (President, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.), Motofumi Shitara (CEO, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.), and Akira Matsunaga (Vice Chairman & Executive Director, JAMA).
Moderated by Sayaka Suguro, the forum will showcase iconic vehicles tied to each executive’s personal journey, including the Travio NTB Expedition Striker, MR2, Fairlady Z, Prelude, and RZ250/XSR900. These vehicles will be displayed from 15:30 to 18:00 on the day of the session.
The program will open with a keynote address by Chairman Katayama, followed by a dynamic cross-talk session where the leaders will share their personal “mobility origin stories” and offer their visions of an ideal transportation future. The Special Stage at the Atrium (1F West Exhibition Hall) will host the event, with simultaneous Japanese-English interpretation available.
Media attendance is encouraged, and advance registration is recommended due to limited seating. On-site attendance is also possible with a valid press pass.
This special session is expected to spark meaningful conversations around innovation, technology, and the shared future of mobility – with Suzuki’s Alto “MameTan” standing as a powerful reminder of how personal stories and timeless vehicles continue to inspire the automotive world.
