That Ship Has Sailed

Wednesday……..O! Wednesday,
Middle of the week,
With a past, to recall,
And a future, of Hope.

Lured on this day,
Ruined then, nay,
But forever,
Entrapped by charms.

The zest to carress,
Feet and arms, to the urge,
Of your submission,
Head over heels, I surrendered.

Impacted, influenced, induced,
All sentiments, all emotions,
Wrapped within the tornado,
Of thy love, unleashed, with fury.

Your passion, valued and loved,
Thy touch, the sting of sensitivity,
A burning sensation of Feelings,
Cobwebed, my Being, numbed.

Your presence in existence,
Thy support in vulnerabilities,
Be those, personal, professional,
Serenity, calm, peace, you ushered.

Beyond doubt, beyond suspicion,
With resolve, comfort, acceptance,
You steered my soul away from me,
The die of thy love was cast, forever….

True was expression of undying,
Love, unalterable commitments,
No retract, no going backwards,
Gullibility mine, thy exploited.

In storm, against the cunning wind,
Hidden I was in thy embrace,
Sunk, drowned, deep inside,
Anchored in harbor of safety.

The vessel of my Love,
Didn’t sink of water around,
But of the water of treachery,
Gushing from thy infidelity.

The sails of my life cans’t
Be reset, there is no hope
Of perfect winds blowing,
To take me to shores beyond….

Presence of faults mutual,
Was no deterrence for Love,
To subsit, to grow, to blossom,
And with faults, we Loved.

Instrument of commitment, you signed,
Camouflaged as sanctioned,
By seeking permission, O’ dear
Truly, bewitching, was thy Love.

The unexpected passion
The crowning embrace
Of thy Greek god, stupefied
And stunned lay the senses.

The enormity, thy power of touch,
The smile, disarming, all resolutions,
The Caring, compliment of Honesty,
Life potentially stood turned around.

Just when, the twains were to meet,
Like Siamese twins, conjoined by love,
Thy sparks of madness, lunacy, struck.
All excitement chilled, froze, paralysed.

The deceit, the deception, Mowed
The blossoming Hope, you deserted.
The furiously warm blood in veins,
Congealed. Clotted. Stopped.

Like a bird set free, I felt,
Soaring to heights of stupidity,
A fool in the making, a simpleton,
Caught in the weave of treachery.

Like a rudderless vessel,
I tossed, turned, trembled,
While, you boarded, a Craft,
To take you, to new pastures.

Deceived. Deprived. Deluded.
Swindled. Cheated. Tricked.
Betrayed. Manipulated. I bid,
Adieu. Adieu. Adieu. Adieu.

On the Titanic of my life,
Climbing upon the Bow,
With arms spread, the chill air,
Beating against thy cheeks, you sang….

A voice mellifluous but unfaithful,
Far across the distance, and spaces
Between us, you have come, to show
You go on, Near, far or wherever….

Fighting fiercely the sound of seagulls,
I yelled, Rose Dewitt Bukater, impostor,
You committed Love, till death do us part,
Squealing in laughter, she yelled back…
“That Ship has sailed…..”.
