  • Mauripur: 23mm
  • Korangi: 22mm
  • Quaidabad: 12mm
  • Orangi Town: 4.5mm
  • DHA Phase II: 3.5mm

Other areas, including II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Bahadurabad, Tariq Road, Sharea Faisal, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, and nearby localities, also experienced showers.

Currently, the PMD reports a mild northwest wind blowing at seven kilometers per hour, with a humidity level of 70%.

Surge in Cholera Cases

The monsoon rains have not only impacted Karachi’s infrastructure, causing inundated roads, but they have also led to a surge in cholera cases. The increase in cases is attributed to the consumption of water contaminated by sewage.

A medical expert warns that the rainy season may further spread cholera, with most patients currently presenting with stomach infections. Normally, Jinnah Hospital receives 30 to 40 cholera patients daily, but this number has surged to 70 to 80 cases per day.

The expert advises the public to avoid consuming substandard food and drinks, maintain hygiene, wash hands with soap, and ensure the cleanliness of their drinking water to prevent further infections.
