KARACHI – The Karachi Traffic Police have issued a detailed traffic diversion plan for Youm-e-Ali being observed today, with the main procession starting at 4:00 PM from Ghafoor Chamber and proceeding to Mehfil Shah Khorasan. To ensure security, several major roads will be closed, and alternative routes have been provided for commuters.
Road Closures and Diversions
- MA Jinnah Road (Tibet Centre to Gurumandar Chowk) will be completely closed.
- Bahadur Yar Jang Road to Tower traffic will be rerouted through Soldier Bazaar No. 1, Coast Guard Signal, and Anklesaria Hospital.
- Sharea Quaideen to Naumaish Chowrangi traffic will be diverted via Ayesha Aziz Chowrangi to PP Chowrangi.
- Society Light Signal traffic will use routes through Khudadad Colony Bridge toward Empress Market.
Route Guidelines
- Fresco to Numaish Chowrangi: Commuters can use the route via Eidgah Chowk (Dilpasand Mithai), Post Office on the left, or take Nishtar Road from Tibet Centre.
- Fawara Chowk to Garden Nishtar Road: Traffic will be redirected via Abdullah Haroon Road.
- Paradise Signal to Empress Market: Traffic can proceed via the Passport Office or on the right side to Empress Market.
Alternative Routes for Public
- New MA Jinnah Road (from Saddar Dawakhana to PP Chowrangi)
- Nishtar Road (Garden Baghicha to Lasbela)
- Bahadur Yar Jang Road (Gurumandar to Soldier Bazaar No. 1 Signal)
