WASHINGTON, DC: The Trump administration encourages injecting $1 Trillion to the virus-driven US economy. The administration supports a plan to give some relief to Americans who lost their jobs and to the shattered businesses.
President Trump has signed a relief bill and the Congress worked for a larger incentive package, reported the American media.
The new coronavirus relief package will provide sick leave, unemployment benefits, free testing, and food and medical aid to people affected by the pandemic, reads a NY Time report.
At this moment of crises all the democratic institutions are 24/7 on the go to help the public, Senators are organizing town hall meetings by phone and taking questions from the public. Counties have set up SMS numbers to send out information about the rising or decreasing numbers of COVID-19 patients in their area. The electricity company in Virginia has assured their customers that they will not shutoff power supply for non-payment. If any of their customer is facing financial difficulties, they are offered for a short-term payment extension and long-term payment assistance. Neighbors in different localities are knocking on the doors and calling to provide any help in getting groceries or any other help.
The giant retail store Macy’s has closed their all stores, that includes all Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Bluemercury, Macy’s Backstage, Bloomingdales the Outlet and Market by Macy’s stores, till March 30 to work with government and health officials. They announced that their employees will be paid benefits and compensation.
On the flip side, people are lined up not only to buy toilet papers, napkins, kitchen towels but also to buy ammunition, to save themselves in case of any robbery.
