KARACHI: Qurat-ul-Ain Baloch, the President of the Voice of Women has said that India should act on the recommendations of the United Nations’ Security Council to protect the basic rights in the contested region of occupied Kashmir while the role of UNO, Commonwealth, European Union and other International Human Rights Organizations is not only disappointing but creates a question mark against millions of oppressed Kashmiri people especially women, says a Press release.
During a protest organized by the Voice of Women in front of Karachi Press Club, she revealed that thousands of Kashmiri women living without basic rights hence, hundreds have been mentally, physically, socially, sexually and religiously abusing since long. On the other hand Indian government also target to Muslim through different angles.
Qurat-ul-Ain raised serious concerns about abuses against young girls and women by the Indian Security Forces. She demanded to restore the basic fundamental rights of Kashmiri & Indian Muslims.
A large number of women participated in protest those were chanting against Indian government, hundreds of female students holding play cards and banners in favor of Kashmiri women on which slogans “Stop abusing against Kashmiri women”, “We are with Kashmiri people”, UN should take notice against India and “Kashmir will become Pakistan” were written.
