Karachi : Inspector General of Sindh Prisons and Corrections Service, Mr. Fida Hussain Mastui, has announced that on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, visitation for prisoners will remain open across all jails in Sindh. This is to allow them to share the joy of Eid and the feeling of emotional closeness and belonging with their families.
_”This is not only for the outside world, but also for those who are in jails on a journey of correcting their mistakes”, says IG Prison
With this vision, it has been decided to maintain special arrangements for prisoner visitation on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr across all jails in Sindh, so that families can meet their loved ones and share the happiness of Eid together.
The purpose of this step is to promote rehabilitation, human compassion, and family ties in prisons, because a strong family bond plays an important role in a prisoner’s mental rehabilitation and positive transformation.
The Sindh Prisons and Corrections Service is moving forward with the commitment to transform prisons from mere detention centers into institutions of hope, reform, and human dignity.
