WOW hosts yet another useful programme

DUBAI (UAE): WoW (Women of Wisdom) and Global Business Council in collaboration with Thumbay University Hospital Ajman celebrates a memorable evening with a useful message for women.
In October, breast cancer awareness programs are held around the world to educate women about it; similarly, Women’s organization WoW presented a breast cancer workshop at Thumbay University Hospital in Ajman, UAE. The workshop was attended by several women who asked the experts about breast cancer and possible prevention measures.
Panelists with expertise in both medicine and psychology provided information on breast cancer and discussed the advantages of early detection and treatment. The speakers included Dr. Amal Hassan Abdul Aziz and Dr. Adnan Ahmadi Azad of Thumbay University Hospital, who explained how this cancer affects both a medical and psychological perspective. For women to reduce their risk of not receiving timely treatment, it was stressed that they should continue to receive medical examinations as they age.
A very simple explanation of some daily exercises to prevent breast cancer was given by Dr. Firdous Imran HIV/AIDS & Cancer Researcher to the audience. Dr. Firdous said that breast cancer is now the leading cancer among women. This disease was usually found in women aged 40 to 60 years, but now younger women are also suffering from this disease.
The audience’s questions and answers enhanced this workshop.
Shazia Siraj Press Counsellor, Consulate General of Pakistan Dubai graced the event as a Chief Guest. Yahya Al Baloshi and Siddiqui Yasin represented GBC, Mian Munir Hans chairman OPUF, Nafisa Fidaali Burhani, Ch Hammad, Zaheer Ahmed, Faraz Siddiqui, Uzma, Raffat, Rabia, Ayesha also honored the event with their presence.
Speakers and attendees received gifts as well. A special certificate and gift were given to two cancer survivors to encourage them in their fight against cancer.
Additionally, honorary shields were presented to the distinguished guests in appreciation of their time.
WoW organizers Farzana Mansoor and Sarwat Zahra thanked their team members Ms. Sadia Rashid, Zubeida Khanum, and Sheeraz Muneer for their dedication and hard work in making this event a success.
As part of the workshop, Prima-Care specialty Clinic Dubai provided a screening facility for women, which was beneficial to those present.
In the end, many women gained valuable knowledge and satisfaction from this useful and informative workshop.
