I extend my warmest felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of the Philippines on the auspicious occasion of the 128th Independence Anniversary of the Philippines.
This important national day is a proud reflection of the courage, resilience and determination of the Filipino people in their historic journey toward independence, dignity and national progress. The Philippines is widely admired for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant society, hardworking people and constructive role in regional and international cooperation.
The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of the Philippines enjoy friendly relations based on mutual respect, cooperation and strong people-to-people connections. The Filipino community has made valuable contributions in many countries, including Oman, where their dedication, professionalism and positive role in society are deeply appreciated.
I also take this opportunity to acknowledge the cordial relations between Pakistan and the Philippines, which have continued to strengthen over the decades in different fields including trade, education, culture, manpower, tourism and people-to-people exchanges. Such cooperation contributes to goodwill, understanding and closer engagement among friendly nations.
On this special occasion, I commend The Financial Daily International for publishing this commemorative supplement to mark the Independence Anniversary of the Philippines and to highlight the spirit of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and the Philippines.
