On the historic occasion of the 77th Founding Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, I extend my heartfelt felicitations and best wishes to the leadership and the people of China.
The year 2026 marks an equally significant milestone-75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. During these seven and a half decades, our two nations have nurtured a relationship distinguished by mutual trust, steadfast friendship and respect for each other’s sovereignty and aspirations. It is a partnership that has endured changing times and emerged stronger with every passing generation.
The Pakistan Peoples Party has always accorded great importance to Pakistan-China relations. The foundations strengthened by successive generations of leadership have enabled this friendship to expand into economic cooperation, regional connectivity and meaningful people-to-people engagement.
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) represents an important manifestation of this enduring partnership and holds immense promise for Pakistan’s economic development and regional prosperity.
As we commemorate this landmark anniversary, it is our collective responsibility to preserve this valuable legacy while creating new avenues of cooperation in education, technology, sustainable development, culture and youth engagement.
I am confident that Pakistan and China will continue to stand together as trusted friends and partners, contributing to peace, stability and shared prosperity.
May the bonds between our peoples grow ever stronger in the decades ahead.
