KARACHI: Hamdard Pakistan hosted an unveiling ceremony of its new corporate theme at Bait-ul-Hikmah Auditorium, Madinat al-Hikmah yesterday. Mrs. Sadia Rashid, Chief Mutawallia Hamdard Pakistan graced the occasion as the chief guest. Fatema Munir Ahmed – Managing Director & CEO, Dr. Arshad Saleem COO, Prof. Dr. Syed Shabib-ul-Hassan – Vice Chancellor Hamdard University and senior management of different subsidiaries and departments also attended the ceremony.
Syed Faizullah Jawad, Director Marketing in opening remarks said: “Hamdard remains committed to the development of the health sector in the country despite stiff corporate competition, by maintaining high standards and efficient decision-making. Hamdard has a deep heart-to-heart relationship with the society because of philanthropist, educationist and a social reformer, Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said. It compels us to keep on nurturing and flourishing this trust as per modern times so as to pass on to next generations.”
Mrs. Sadia Rashid said: “The ultimate goal of Hamdard is philanthropy and well-being. Deviation from this goal is by no means possible, because the values and objectives of Hamdard Pakistan have been determined by its founder Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, whose life is a testament of philanthropy and charity. Even today, following his guidelines, teachings and ideals Hamdard Pakistan takes active participation in social welfare.”
“Hamdard Pakistan is in the business for welfare and social service, that is why it considers the development of health and education sectors as its responsibility. The message of Hamdard’s new corporate theme reflects the basic philosophy of Hamdard.”
Dr. Arshad Saleem said: “The purpose of the new corporate theme of Hamdard Pakistan is to reaffirm our commitment for the ideals and teachings of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, on which he founded Hamdard Pakistan. We have to reestablish the significance and effectiveness of Hikmah in the society. This is what Hamdard stands for. We have to promote the effectiveness of herbal medicines as per modern times in the society, because by doing so we can successfully fulfill our responsibility of improving the overall health of our society, and we can reduce the health problems in the country. Western World lays great emphasis on allopathic medicines. Despite this, health problems are on the rise there. It is now Hamdard Pakistan’s responsibility to create awareness about the usefulness of Hikmah in the world.”
Later a cake cutting ceremony was held. Mrs. Sadia Rashid by cutting the cake formally launched the new corporate theme. Mutawalli Dr. Navaid-ul-Zafar andV.C Hamdard University Prof. Dr. Syed Shabib-ul-Hassan were also present.
