KARACHI: Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB) has launched a physical verification drive of its 484 security staff, line guards, peons others aiming to streamline its security department, sources learnt on Thursday.
As per official order issued by Amin Tughlaq, director personal available with this scribe, as many as 484 employees have been listed for physical verification which has started from Thursday.
Employees are directed to appear before the chief security officer KW&SB located at 9th miles karsaz. This physical verification drive will continue till June 07 every day, sources further told.
List included names of line guards, peons, chowkidars.
On other hand, this physical verification has also created panic among employees and they feared it as part of downsizing in the light of amended corporation act.
MD/CEO KW&SB Syed Salahuddin has not responded when contacted for his version on this development and fears of employees.
