KARACHI: In an increasingly fast-paced world where meaningful engagement is often overlooked, LADIESFUND hosted a thoughtfully curated and deeply impactful Eid Milan 2026 at the Buraq Center-designed specifically to celebrate, uplift, and spotlight the remarkable women of the Memon Excellence Forum, in honour of World Memon Day.
Bringing together a close-knit group of 45 inspiring women-including entrepreneurs, professionals, and community contributors-the gathering created a rare space where voices are often underrepresented, yet rich with resilience, talent, and lived experience. The evening was further elevated by the presence of a select group of distinguished guests and high-society supporters, whose participation reflected a growing recognition of the importance of inclusive and purpose-driven platforms.
Graced by Chief Guest Mustafa Tariq, the event highlighted LADIESFUND’s evolving approach-shifting from large-scale visibility to intentional, high-impact experiences that foster authentic connection, dignity, and meaningful visibility for emerging and grassroots women leaders.
Attendees included Prof. Shaista Shoukat, Sheherbano Husain, Shanzay Sabszari, Farrukh Shahab, Hira Haroon Karim, Jamal Ashiqain, Sharmane Sayeed , Umaina Khan, Zarmina Raza, Sana Pirzada, Zeerak Jarrar, Anadil Khan, Zeb Ishaq, Mehr Ali, Noor Soomro, Ammara Soomro, Unsa Shah, Uzma Azam, Zulaikha Mandokhai, and Shireen Kamal, alongside special guests from the Memon Excellence Forum. The celebration also embraced the spirit of unity and inclusion, marking Easter with special guest Sarfaraz Dennis Naseer. Nighat Misbah Depilex joined as Beauty Partner, Igloo Pakistan as Ice Cream Partner, and Sweets by Shireen as Prize Partner.
At the heart of the evening was a beautifully simple yet powerful concept-a “one-dish” community table-which evolved into an extraordinary culinary experience. In tribute to Memon heritage and the spirit of World Memon Day, the women presented an exceptional variety of traditional and regional cuisines representing Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, and Memon culture. Each dish told a story of home, heritage, and identity-transforming the gathering into a vibrant and heartfelt celebration of culture, generosity, and pride. Widely praised by guests, the food emerged as one of the most memorable highlights of the evening, reflecting not only remarkable taste but the depth of tradition and care these women bring to the table.
The visual narrative was equally compelling, with attendees embracing rich traditional attire, including elegant Sindhi Ajrak ensembles and diverse cultural wear from across Pakistan. A special highlight was the presence of Sindhi fashion designer Ghulam Abbas Soomro, who traveled from the village of Bhitshah, District Matyari, and captivated guests with his striking ajrak vest-adding an extra layer of cultural pride and craftsmanship to the evening.
Adding to the celebratory spirit, friendly recognitions were awarded for Best Savory (Madiha Sabir), Best Sweet (Salma Zakria), and Best Dressed (Mariam Faisal Amin), encouraging participation while celebrating creativity, individuality, and excellence.
More than a celebration, the event presented a powerful and replicable model for community upliftment-where thoughtfully curated gatherings can bridge social divides, create access, and foster mutual respect between established networks and emerging voices. The presence of accomplished guests and supporters not only amplified the platform but also signaled strong interest in future themed editions that celebrate distinct communities, cultures, and stories.
LADIESFUND continues to build spaces where women from all walks of life can be seen, celebrated, and connected-while inviting allies, patrons, and partners to actively engage in this growing movement. As momentum builds, such curated editions are set to expand in both theme and reach, offering exciting opportunities for collaboration, cultural exchange, and impact-driven partnerships.
In proving that true impact lies not in scale, but in depth, LADIESFUND’s Eid Milan 2026 – Memon Day Special Edition – leaves behind more than just memories; it leaves a strengthened, more inclusive community, and a platform that many are now inspired to support, join, and grow.
