KARACHI: Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited has inaugurated a 100 cubic meter biogas plant and a 920 kWh solar power project, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and environment-friendly energy integration in its manufacturing operations.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Saleem H Mandviwala, Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue, who served as the chief guest.
The newly established biogas facility is designed to convert organic waste into renewable energy, while the solar power system will provide clean electricity to support plant operations. Company officials stated that the combined initiatives are expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency and optimize operational costs.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Mandviwala praised the company’s efforts in adopting sustainable practices and highlighted the importance of environmental responsibility in industrial development.
He acknowledged the continued investment of Suzuki Motor Corporation in Pakistan and noted that the country was among the first destinations for the company’s overseas expansion. He described the projects as a an NOC.
Achakzai opined that Opposition should not hold a protest in which people’s children are killed. Sources said KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is ready to take to the streets even due to social media pressure.
