WASHINGTON: The US Small Business Administration has awarded Pakistani-American entrepreneur Engineer Maqsood Ali Kamboh the “Small Business Person of the Year” award, making him the first Pakistani American to receive this award. The award was given on the occasion of National Small Business Week 2026. According to the SBA, this award is given in recognition of exceptional performance, innovation, leadership, financial stability and community service in the small and medium-sized business sector. Engineer Maqsood Ali Kamboh has developed his business on modern lines, created new job opportunities and played an important role in stabilizing the local economy. A ceremony was held on this occasion. Addressing the ceremony, the speakers said that such business leaders not only play a key role in economic development but also set an example for future generations. Social and business circles have appreciated this achievement and said that this honor is a source of pride not only for the awardee but also for the entire Pakistani nation and it will further highlight the positive image of Pakistanis at the global level. He hoped that this success would inspire the younger generation to also achieve their goals with hard work and determination.
