Pakistan intensifies diplomatic push for peace amid escalating US-Israel-Iran tensions

KARACHI: Pakistan has stepped up its diplomatic efforts to defuse rising tensions in the Middle East as the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran continues to threaten regional stability, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif leading a series of high-level engagements aimed at promoting dialogue and restraint.
In a significant development, the prime minister held meetings with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Egypt, underscoring the urgency of collective action to halt hostilities that are causing widespread loss of life, economic disruption, and damage across the region.

He also extended his regards to Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Mohammed bin Salman, while highlighting the Kingdom’s leadership role within the Muslim world.

Pakistan has also offered to play a constructive role in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States, positioning itself as a potential bridge between the opposing sides.
