KARACHI: According to the latest notification issued by the Government of Sindh, a change has been made in the leadership of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB), and Mr. Tariq Ali Nizamani has been relieved of his responsibilities as Managing Director. While such administrative decisions are a routine part of government affairs, dedicated public service and professional excellence leave a lasting legacy.
During his tenure as Managing Director of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, Tariq Ali Nizamani demonstrated exceptional leadership and administrative capability in improving Karachi’s sanitation system. Under his stewardship, waste management operations became more efficient, the use of modern machinery was expanded, and continuous efforts were made to enhance cleanliness standards across the city’s districts.
His leadership was particularly appreciated during Eid-ul-Adha sanitation operations, emergency cleaning campaigns after heavy rains, and special drives to keep Karachi’s major roads and public spaces clean. Rather than limiting himself to office work, he was known for personally visiting field operations, monitoring performance, and encouraging frontline sanitation staff to deliver their best.
During his tenure, serious efforts were also made to strengthen institutional discipline, improve coordination among government departments, and promote public awareness regarding cleanliness and environmental responsibility. These initiatives have earned him recognition as a committed administrator whose contributions will remain an important part of the history of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board.
Government positions may change, but sincerity, integrity, and dedication to public service are remembered long after official tenures end. Tariq Ali Nizamani proved that a capable and committed public servant can achieve remarkable results even while working under challenging circumstances.
His contributions to Karachi’s sanitation system deserve appreciation and respect. It is hoped that wherever he serves in the future, he will continue to uphold the same standards of professionalism, honesty, and commitment to public welfare. His valuable services to Karachi and its citizens will always be remembered with gratitude and admiration.
