Pakistan and Morocco commit to forge closer relations through parliamentary friendship knots

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group held the first meeting of the group with H.E. Mr. Mohamed Karmoune, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Pakistan at the National Assembly of Pakistan.
Chaired by Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, MNA/Convener, Pakistan-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG), the meeting was attended by group members, Syed Naveed Qamar, Shaista Pervaiz, Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, Khursheed Ahmed Jonejo, Makhdoom Syed Sami ul Hassan Gillani, Sabheen Ghoury MNAs, who actively participated in the dialogue and discussion on further strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Morocco.
While welcoming the Ambassador of Morocco, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig expressed satisfaction over the cordial ties between Pakistan and Morocco. He assured that existing bilateral relations between two countries will strengthen further through mutual cooperation.
The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and explore avenues of cooperation between both countries. Various areas of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
The Ambassador expressed his country’s desire to enhance bilateral and economic ties with Pakistan. The Parliamentary Friendship Group emphasized on reviving the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) between the two countries so that the platform could pave the way for furthering cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
The Parliamentary Friendship Group reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fostering stronger relations with Morocco and emphasized the need for regular interactions between the two nations.
Both sides agreed that Parliamentary Friendship Groups can play a pivotal role in promoting parliamentary diplomacy, people-to-people contact and promoting parliamentary relations between two countries.
