Rotary Club Karachi Creek’s art competition held at Suffa University on Women’s Day

KARACHI: Girls with motivation, beaming with confidence, urge to fight for the growth of women and a desire to work for the betterment of the families and society at large, took part in the art competition held under the auspices of the Rotary Club Karachi Creek at the Suffa University on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Friday, in Karachi.
Twenty Girls under the age of 19 years participated in the art competition depicting their creativity by transforming their thoughts on the canvas. The theme of the art competition was “girl’s empowerment”.
The art work of the girls showed different aspects of the women including struggle of women, gender equality, importance of girl’s education and the great role of mothers.
Tahira Ahmed Khan (Polio Coordinator Southern Region) Rotary Club Karachi Creek, Sidra Ahmed, Senior Lecturer, International Programs Suffa University and Sumain Faisal, President of women empowerment society of Suffa University highlighted the importance of the day.
Muznah Usmani came first, Maria Abdulaziz came second while Adyina Yusuf secured third place in the competition.
Winners were awarded with cash prize and certificates while all the participants were given certificates.
