KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail here Saturday formally inaugurated wall painting project of the Crescent Art Gallery in the Governor House on the occasion of the Independence Day, says a Press release.
On the occasion, CEO Crescent Art Gallery Nasir Javed, R Sameer Nasir, Sidra Nasir and others were present.
Talking to media, Sindh governor said that Pasban is the result of the sacrifices of our forefathers. He said Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah led a great struggle for creation of this country. He said we should follow the golden principles of unity, faith and discipline and shun our petty differences to make Pakistan a great nation. He said we all should play our individual and collective role for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and bring it at par with the most developed countries of the world.
He said the struggle of the Kashmiri brothers would soon bear the fruit. He said the night of oppression and atrocities in the Occupied Kashmir would end soon. He said the people of Kashmir should be given the right of plebiscite as per the resolutions of the United Nations. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is working hard in the lights of the teachings of Quaid-i-Azam to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state. He lauded the portrait of Quaid-i-Azam in the Governor House under the wall painting project.
Talking on the occasion, Nasir Javed said this ceremony was arranged to pay rich tributes to Quaid-i-Azam in connection with the Independence Day. He said that no one can feel real joy of life without the feeling of independence. He said on the day of 14th August Muslims of the subcontinent got independence in the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam. He said we should think about the purposes for which Pakistan was created.
Nasir Javed said that Quaid-i-Azam had set a direction and we have to follow this direction. He said through wall painting we will beautify every nook and corner of the country. He said wall painting work was in progress at Lyari, Metroville and other localities. He said we are working to portray the soft image of Pakistan through art.
