HYDERABAD: A Quran recitation ceremony and condolence meeting were held at the Iran Culture House (Khaneh Farhang) in Hyderabad to pray for the elevation of the ranks and the reward of the departed soul of Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, who was described as a martyr in the path of truth. The event was organized by the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran and was attended by prominent religious and political figures.
The gathering began at 4:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Huffaz and teachers from the Sirat-e-Ilahi Institute for Quran Memorization recited verses of the Holy Quran and the Asma-ul-Husna in a distinctive manner. Participants of the gathering also recited the Quran and dedicated the spiritual reward for the elevation of the ranks of the late leader.
Following the recitation session, a condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Saeed Hashmi, Director of Khaneh Farhang Iran. Speakers at the event included Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, Maulana Muhammad Ali Jarwar, Syed Ghulam Mohiuddin Jani Shah Hussaini, Maulana Sajjad Jawadi, and others.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers paid tribute to the sacrifices and leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei. They described his passing as a great loss not only for Iran but for Muslims and freedom-loving people around the world. The speakers said he was a leader of exceptional stature who always prioritized the welfare of his nation, even in his final moments, emphasizing that the protection of his people should come before concern for himself.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saeed Hashmi thanked the participants and appreciated the solidarity shown by the people of Pakistan with Iran. He said that just as the Pakistani public stood with Iran during the twelve-day conflict, they had also expressed deep sympathy and friendship on the martyrdom of the Iranian leader.
He added that the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei had saddened not only the Iranian nation but also Muslims and supporters of justice across the world. After a lifetime of struggle, he attained the status of martyrdom and left behind a legacy that would continue to inspire followers of Islam and people of other faiths as well.
Dr. Hashmi emphasized that the path of the late leader was the path of resistance and that martyrdom remains a central value of that school of thought. He noted that the Iranian nation is a historic, dignified and faithful nation that may sacrifice its life but will never bow before oppression.
The event concluded with the congregational Maghrib and Isha prayers, followed by an Iftar arrangement for all participants.
