KARACHI: On the direction of Sindh Government, Water Corporation is taking good steps for further improvement of water supply and drainage across the city, In the country’s largest and most populous city, nearly 50 percent of the water demand is less than the demand, but equitable distribution of water to the citizens, while the Water Corporation is utilizing all resources and capabilities to ensure water supply to the far end of the city and remote areas, because providing better water supply and drainage facilities to the citizens is one of our top priorities.
These views were expressed by COO Water Corporation Engineer Asadullah Khan during a meeting with the delegation led by Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad.
According to the spokesperson of Water Corporation, during the meeting, Town Chairman Korangi Naeem Sheikh, PP District President Javed Sheikh, Chief Engineer Water Muhammad Hanif Baloch, Chief Engineer Sewerage Aftab Alam Chandio, SO Engineer Mohan Lal, EE Workshop Shafqat Maghan and other high officials were present, In the meeting, various problems of water supply and drainage in Korangi District were discussed in detail.
On this occasion, the delegation led by Deputy Mayor Karachi informed the Water Corporation officials about the various problems of water supply and drainage in Korangi district and said that all problems should be solved on a priority basis.
COO Water Corporation assured the delegation of immediate resolution of all complaints and issued orders to the concerned officers on the spot to resolve all issues on priority basis and provide better facilities to the citizens because providing better facilities to the citizens is one of our top priorities.
